HELP TMC ELECTION DAY
hi there. Today is another milestone in HELP Toastmaster's club history. Election of new Executive Committee for the Jan 2010-Jun 2010 term...First off, the normal meeting. I presented my first speech entitled" breaking the duck", literally translating into my first time.though it's not quite relevant with the ice-breaker topic, but it does work anyway. The only regret that it was only done in less than 48 hours, I just did it off the fly. Without any proper preparation. Too many things to speak on. That does it THE ELECTION It was a battle of sorts in the election: 3 posts were contested. 4 were walkover wins The posts won by walkovers: President VPM VPPR Secretary Posts won by contests VPE ( a fierce one) Treasurer ( the incumbent, Jack Ying successfully defended his post) Sergeant-At-Arms Two appointed committee member for this term.
