Grief never grow old
Well, as you are reading this post at the moment, the people in Manila, Philippines, Samoa and American Samoa is in grief.
The past few days the Philippines is battered by a typhoon, causing a huge flood in Manila. Dozens dead and many homeless.
At 1.40am Malaysian time, an earthquake with a magnitude of 8.00 on the Richter scale struck somewhere near Samoa, causing a tsunami that is 3 feet high to hit the shores. Damage is quite extensive. The American Govt has declared American Samoa as a disaster zone.
And jsut now,6.14pm Malaysian Time, an earthquake struck Southern Sumatera with a strength of 7.90 on the Richter scale. No tsunami was reported, though the USGS issued a warning for tsunami.
Makes me wonder if we are ever thankful for what we have and what GOd gave us in life. In other words, life is short.Live it like there's no tomorrow, be grateful for what you have and cherish everyone you love today, before it's too late. They may be gone tomorrow.
A lesson learnt anyway from my past experience with a girl. I didn't cherish her and so I lost her. I didn't say "I love you" when it mattered the most, and when I did, it was too late. She coupled up with another guy and now happily, as I am typing this, in a long distance relationship ( though a bit worried cos I dun think she knows the guy that well to love him)\
But a heartbreak is not as great as the loss of loved ones in one blink of an eye, to a natural disaster.
Life is always cruel. But what can we do about it but to comfort one another and show that we care for the people in need. Do your bit to help the needy ones.
As for the girl of my dreams, I just hoped that you have the best in life, but be cautious. Things may not be what it seems. People who are hot and nice in personality and a DJ is not necessarily good. Actions may deceive, but the truth is always out there. Own clear judgement is neccessary, don't just "love" a guy who says I love you after just one long night of chat.
Got to go to sleep. goodnite
