Grief never grow old
Well, as you are reading this post at the moment, the people in Manila, Philippines, Samoa and American Samoa is in grief. The past few days the Philippines is battered by a typhoon, causing a huge flood in Manila. Dozens dead and many homeless. At 1.40am Malaysian time, an earthquake with a magnitude of 8.00 on the Richter scale struck somewhere near Samoa, causing a tsunami that is 3 feet high to hit the shores. Damage is quite extensive. The American Govt has declared American Samoa as a disaster zone. And jsut now,6.14pm Malaysian Time, an earthquake struck Southern Sumatera with a strength of 7.90 on the Richter scale. No tsunami was reported, though the USGS issued a warning for tsunami. Makes me wonder if we are ever thankful for what we have and what GOd gave us in life.
